Japanese Tea + Cake

Exhibition hours: 10am ~ 5pm, Sunday 15th May
Afternoon tea : 2pm ~ 5pm

Venue: Mils Gallery, 15 Randle Street, Surry Hills
Opposite Devonshire tunnel exit at Central Station.

We encourage friends with family to be able to come and visit the gallery, and also for their children to be exposed to a slice of Japanese culture. Activities will include origami & calligraphy workshops, which are a great way for children to create something together and take home.

There will also be an opportunity to write letters to the children in Japan who have been affected by the March 11th Tsunami. This letter drive was instigated by an 11 year old boy in NY who felt compelled to begin this outreach. It's a beautiful idea and we would like to participate aswell.

The afternoon is Japanese tea & cake time! At 2.30pm an announcement of the auction winners, acknowledgement of the contributors, supporters and sponsors will be made.

We will celebrate the big effort that has been involved in making this exhibition happen with the cutting of a cake at 3pm -take note! It would be great to have everyone there to share afternoon tea together. Collections of artworks will commence by those who have purchased them during the week with their generous donations.

Please let family and friends know of this day event, and we look forward to seeing you there. We will be open all day from 10am, please come around 2pm if you would just like to pop in for the afternoon tea and announcements. See you soon!

Cheers, Naoko & Yann
